vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company, isseeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Virtual Designerwithhands-on experience in structural steel detailing and Tekla Structures. Thisrole supports the development of accurate, coordinated, and constructiblestructural steel models and drawings while meeting project requirements,quality standards, and delivery schedules.

The associate virtual designer works under the guidance of Senior Modelers, Modelers,Checkers, and other project team members to understand project scope, interpretdesign information, execute assigned modeling and drawing tasks, and escalatetechnical issues appropriately. The role provides an opportunity to buildtechnical expertise in structural steel modelling, detailing, constructability,and fabrication practices while learning established project workflows andquality standards.

KeyResponsibilities

• Review structuraldrawings, client detailing standards, addendums, RFIs, reference models,and other project documents to understand design intent, project scope,and assigned modelling requirements.
• Develop and update 3Dstructural steel models using Tekla Structures for assigned tasks,following current design drawings, project requirements, establishedworkflows, and company standards.
• Prepare and refineshop, fabrication, and erection drawings under appropriate guidance,ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and detailingstandards.
• Model primary andsecondary structural steel components, connections, embeds, andmiscellaneous steel items within the assigned scope and with guidance asneeded.
• Understand assignedtasks, internal schedules, planned hours, and delivery milestones, andcommunicate progress or difficulties to the appropriate team members.
• Support BIM/VDCcoordination and model-based reviews to identify clashes, spatial orsequencing conflicts, missing information, and potential constructabilityconcerns. Escalate issues to Senior Modelers, Modelers, Checkers, orother appropriate project team members.
• Incorporate approveddesign revisions, RFI responses, and client comments into models anddrawings under established procedures. Support the identification anddocumentation of technical queries as required.
• Assist with preparingor updating submittal logs and tracking required documentation usingestablished project management platforms.
• Perform self-checksbefore submitting work for review. Implement feedback from SeniorModelers and Checkers, learn from identified errors, and apply qualityprocedures to improve accuracy and reduce rework.
• Followproject-specific modelling standards, numbering systems, reports, andworkflows. Develop a strong understanding of structural steel connections,fabrication and erection practices, AISC standards, and applicable projectrequirements.

RequiredQualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor'sdegree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relateddiscipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
• 2-4 years of experiencein structural steel detailing, including hands-on experience with TeklaStructures modelling.
• Experience working onstructural steel projects involving 3D modelling, detailing, and drawingproduction.
• Basic understanding ofstructural steel fabrication, connections, and erection practices.
• Foundational knowledgeof AISC standards and U.S. structural steel detailing practices.
• Ability to interpretstructural drawings, specifications, shop requirements, RFIs, and otherconstruction documents.

TechnicalSkills

• Working proficiency inTekla Structures.
• Foundationalstructural steel 3D modelling and detailing skills.
• Basic understanding ofstructural steel connections and constructability.
