Job summary

Cuemath seeks a proactive Operations lead for the Tutor Success team in Gurugram. You will run the day-to-day operations of the tutor cohort, ensuring trainings stay on track, quality remains high, and tutor sentiment stays healthy.

You will coordinate 8–10 mentors, manage training schedules, monitor metrics, and report weekly on training completion and community health. Strong math background and prior training/ops experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Math, Engineering, or STEM with strong math.
• Able to read a lesson and judge if math was taught correctly.
• Experience planning and delivering training programs, not just attending them.
• Experience running day-to-day operations for large groups with discipline.
• Prior experience managing a team, mentor pool, or large set of stakeholders.
• Experience managing a community of tutors or teachers; customer success/support ok with relevant math/training/ops background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of the tutor community cohort, ensuring training stays on track and quality stays high.
• Monitor tutor sentiment and take early actions to prevent churn.
• Plan and deliver end-to-end trainings: scheduling, attendance, completion, follow-through.
• Track teaching quality against rubrics and drive necessary corrections.
• Coordinate a pool of 8-10 mentors: brief, align, unblock, and follow up.
• Prepare and maintain weekly reports on training completion, quality, and community health.

Our Tutor Success team is the backbone of this mission - ensuring every tutor delivers world-class learning experiences. Their quality, their training, and how they feel about being part of this community is what decides whether a child actually learns. This role sits at the centre of that. You will run the day-to-day operations of the cohort of the tutor community - keeping training on track, keeping quality tight, keeping sentiment healthy, and working alongside 8-10 mentors who are on the ground with tutors every day. It is a hands-on execution role for someone who likes owning the machinery, not just the plan.

What you will own

• Community operations - run the daily engine: tasks, trackers, escalations, follow-ups. Nothing falls through.
• Community sentiment - stay close to how tutors are feeling, spot dips early, and act before they become churn.
• Training delivery - plan and get trainings done end-to-end: scheduling, attendance, completion, follow-through.
• Quality - track teaching quality against our rubrics, flag what is slipping, and drive the correction.
• Mentor coordination - work with a pool of 8-10 mentors: brief them, align them, unblock them, hold the follow-up.
• Reporting - keep clean weekly numbers on training completion, quality, and community health.

Must-haves

• Math background - this is a math company. Graduation in Math, Engineering, or a STEM discipline with strong math.
• Knows K-12 math in and out - able to sit in a class, read a lesson, and judge whether the math was taught right.
• Training experience - has planned and delivered training programs, not just attended them.
• Operations experience at scale - has run day-to-day operations for large groups, with the discipline that comes with it.
• Experience managing people - has managed or coordinated a team, a mentor pool, or a large set of stakeholders.
• Community management - has managed a community of tutors or teachers. Customer success or customer support experience also counts, provided the math, training and operations experience is in place.
• Communication and interpersonal skills - clear in writing and on a call, warm with people, firm when it matters.
