Job summary

WSP in India in Bengaluru seeks a Telecommunications Systems Design lead to coordinate and deliver compliant designs for telecom, PA, CCTV, and related systems within railway engineering projects.

You will guide project teams, produce reports and schematics, and collaborate with internal and external disciplines to integrate communications equipment into the overall design. The role requires hands-on design and consultancy in a fast-paced rail environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assure telecommunications systems design for multiple disciplines within railway projects.
• Deliver design and consultancy for systems including Structured Cabling, PA/Voice Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, BMS, Passenger Help Point, Wireless, Networking and Telephone, and Cabling Containment.
• Lead project teams based in Bengaluru and provide inputs to railway engineering projects.
• Produce reports, schedules, drawings and technical schematics.
• Coordinate with internal and external disciplines for placement and integration of communication equipment.

To undertake Telecommunications systems design & engineering activities within the group, Lead the team for projects independently, analyse the project requirements and provide input to the project manager in respect of both design and consultancy services. To provide technical support and assistance.

Responsibilities

Undertaking of tasks as assigned, in particular:

• The candidate shall be responsible for the Co-ordination and assurance of Telecommunications Systems design. The candidate is required to have a proven working knowledge of the activities necessary to produce fully assured designs for the following systems
• Structured Cabling,
• Public Address / Voice Alarm systems,
• Passenger Information System,
• Closed Circuit Television systems,
• Access Control systems,
• Intrusion Detection,
• Building Management System,
• Passenger Help Point systems,
• Wireless System,
• Networking and Telephone System,
• Cabling Containment System
• Delivering Telecommunications systems (design and consultancy) Projects and lead the project teams based in Bengaluru
• Responsible for Telecommunications systems inputs/outputs to Rail engineering (design and consultancy) projects
• Responsible to contribute to Telecommunications systems engineering input to multi-disciplinary railway engineering (design and consultancy) projects
• Co-ordination with other disciplines (internal and external) in the placement and integration of communication equipment within the overall design.
• Production of reports, schedules, drawings, and technical schematics.
