Job summary

Jobtailor invites a senior Transport Planning professional to lead complex modelling projects in Bengaluru. You will apply tools such as VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN and DIADEM to deliver strategic transport analyses and reports.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, strong numeracy, and a track record in team delivery, with programming skills in Python and R and proficiency in MS Excel to support decision making.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Transport Planning software.
• Experience with strategic modelling and guidance.
• Strong numerate and analytical abilities with MS Excel.
• Ability to write quality technical reports.
• Experience in leading smaller teams on project delivery.
• Knowledge of GIS and transport policy context.

Responsibilities

• Lead transport planning projects using VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN and DIADEM.

Requirements

• Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree with Master’s degree in transport planning/ transportation engineering)
• Working experience (15+ years) in Transport Planning software like VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN, DIADEM.
• Experience and knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance.
• Knowledge of the technical transport planning environment
• Strong numerate and analytical abilities, including a high degree of competence in MS Excel
• Able to write a quality technical report
• Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project
• Experience in leading smaller teams as part of a project delivery
• Good written communication skills
• Be able to work individually.
• Knowledge and experience of ME regional modelling guidance and approaches
• Experience in the use of analytical and research tools such as GIS and the use of databases
• An appreciation of the transport industry and related policy context
• Professional membership of a relevant institution.
• Experience in programming skills like Python, PowerBI, Excel-VBA and R.
