Job summary

Flex is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Chennai, India. You will join a global engineering team, supporting development, analytics and digital transformation initiatives while leveraging AI and data-driven approaches.

Ideal candidates hold a CS/IT/AI & DS degree and demonstrate fundamentals in programming, SDLC, cloud concepts, and modern languages. Fresh graduates with curiosity and collaboration skills are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science engineering (CSE), IT or AI & DS.
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and OOP, data structures and algorithms, databases, networks, OS, SDLC and cloud basics.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript and SQL.
• Interest in Generative AI technologies and exposure to AI tools.
• Able to showcase AI-enabled projects or use cases.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS)
• Strong understanding of Programming Fundamentals & OOP Concepts, Data Structures & Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks & Operating Systems, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Basic Cloud Concepts
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages is preferred: Python, Java, C#, JavaScript. SQL
• Should demonstrate interest in Generative AI technologies.
• Have exposure to tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or similar platforms.
• Understand how AI can improve productivity, learning, coding, research, and problem-solving.
• Be able to showcase projects, use cases, or practical applications where AI tools were leveraged.
• Active use of AI for learning, innovation, and problem-solving will have an added advantage.
