Job summary

ResponsibleUs in India is seeking an Associate – Research, Climate & Sustainability to support research and programme activities at the intersection of climate governance and development. You will develop research documents, conduct needs assessments, perform data analysis and prepare papers with policy recommendations, while engaging with state administrations to translate feedback into sustainable environmental governance.

You will also help organize events and roundtables.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in research, climate change, environmental governance or sustainability.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Studies, Governance or related field.
• Strong report writing, research and policy-writing skills; familiarity with environmental policies and governance frameworks.
• Proficient in English and Hindi.

The role involves developing research documents, conducting needs assessments, situation and data analysis, preparing research papers, developing policy recommendations and insights, and engaging with stakeholders. The candidate will also work with organisational leadership and state administration to translate community feedback into sustainable practices and improved environmental governance. Additional responsibilities include organising events, seminars and roundtable discussions. Candidates should have 2–3 years of professional experience in research, climate change, environmental governance or sustainability, along with a master’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Studies, Governance or a related field. Strong report writing, research and policy-writing skills are required, along with familiarity with environmental policies, climate mitigation strategies and governance frameworks. Strong command of both English and Hindi is necessary.
