Job summary

Lemon Yellow LLP, a Thane-based UI/UX design agency, is seeking an Associate QA Engineer to ensure quality across web and mobile applications. You will design and execute test cases, perform manual, functional, regression, and cross-platform testing, and collaborate with Developers, UI/UX Designers, and clients.

Experience with Jira, Zoho, Excel, and basic automation using Java+Selenium or Katalon is preferred, with a mindset to leverage AI tools to boost QA efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in IT/CS or related field.
• 0–1 year experience in software testing preferred.
• Familiarity with STLC and SDLC concepts.
• Experience with manual/functional testing and basic API testing.
• Exposure to UI/UX testing and Figma designs.

Responsibilities

• Perform Manual, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Integration Testing for web and mobile applications.
• Create, review and execute detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Maintain test execution reports and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Perform retesting and regression testing to verify fixes.
• UI/UX testing across browsers/devices for consistency.
• Basic API testing and support automation in Java+Selenium or Katalon.
• Log/track defects using Jira/Zoho and Excel.
• Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, BA, clients, and stakeholders.

We are looking for an Associate QA Engineer.

Overview: We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong knowledge of manual testing and a basic understanding of automation and API testing. The role involves testing web and mobile applications, creating test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring a consistent UI/UX across platforms. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Jira, Figma, Excel, Java + Selenium/Katalon, and be eager to use AI tools to improve QA efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Testing
  • Perform Manual, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Integration Testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Understand application requirements and ensure functionality meets expected business and user requirements.
  • Identify, document, and validate defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Understand business requirements and create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Maintain test execution reports and ensure adequate test coverage across application features.
• Perform retesting and regression testing to ensure issues are properly resolved.
• UI/UX & Cross-Platform Testing
  • Perform UI/UX testing and identify design inconsistencies using Figma and other relevant tools.
  • Validate applications across different browsers, devices, screen sizes, and responsive layouts.
  • Ensure the application provides a consistent and user-friendly experience.
• API & Automation Testing
  • Perform basic API testing and validate request/response data.
  • Gain exposure to automation testing using Java with Selenium or Katalon Studio .
  • Understand, write, and execute individual automation test scripts to support testing activities.
• Log, track, prioritize, and follow up on defects using Jira, Zoho , or similar test and defect management platforms.
• Maintain test cases, test execution reports, defect reports, and other QA documentation using Excel and test management tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure defects are resolved and validated within expected timelines.
• Collaborate effectively with Developers, UI/UX Designers, Business Analysts, Clients, and other stakeholders .
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide a QA perspective to identify potential issues and improve product quality.
• Contribute to a collaborative and quality-focused development environment.
• Use AI tools responsibly and effectively to improve productivity in test case creation, test data preparation, documentation, and automation support.
• Explore new QA tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
• Continuously learn and contribute to improving QA processes and practices.

Required Skills

• BE/B.Tech/BSc/BCA or equivalent degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 0–1 year of experience or strong knowledge in Software Testing / Quality Assurance .
• BFSI / Fintech domain experience or exposure is preferred.
• Good understanding of STLC and SDLC .
• Strong knowledge of Manual and Functional Testing .
• Basic understanding of API Testing .
• Exposure to Java + Selenium and/or Katalon Studio .
• Ability to create and maintain basic automation scripts independently .
• Good understanding of UI/UX testing and Figma designs .
• Knowledge of Jira, Zoho, Excel , or similar test and defect management tools.
• Basic understanding of the BFSI/Fintech domain will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills .
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and client-facing environment .
