Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and academically accomplished Associate Professor ENT to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at GEIMS. The candidate will be responsible for clinical services, teaching and training of undergraduate/postgraduate students, academic activities, research, and departmental development in accordance with applicable NMC norms. The current NMC faculty regulations specify M.S./DNB in Otorhinolaryngology as the academic qualification for faculty in ENT.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care and consultation for ENT patients.
• Perform and supervise ENT procedures and surgeries.
• Manage emergency ENT cases and provide appropriate clinical intervention.
• Teach and mentor MBBS and postgraduate students/residents.
• Conduct lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, seminars and clinical case discussions.
• Supervise clinical postings, bedside teaching and practical training.
• Participate in departmental academic meetings and institutional activities.
• Guide residents in clinical decision-making, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Participate in research projects, publications, conferences and CME activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and hospital protocols.
• Participate in departmental administrative responsibilities and NMC-related academic activities.
• Collaborate with other specialties for multidisciplinary patient management.

Eligibility

• MBBS from an NMC-recognized institution.
• M.S./DNB in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) from an NMC/NBEMS-recognized institution, as applicable.
• Teaching experience and other requirements should comply with the NMC Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulations, 2025.
• Valid medical registration with the appropriate Medical Council/NMC as applicable.
• Research publications and Basic Course in Biomedical Research requirements, where applicable under the current NMC faculty regulations.
