Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with orthopaedic disorders and trauma.
• Perform elective and emergency orthopaedic surgeries independently.
• Conduct outpatient (OPD) consultations, inpatient care, and emergency services.
• Participate in trauma and emergency on-call duties.
• Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and infection control practices.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.

Academic Responsibilities

• Teach MBBS students, interns, postgraduate residents, and fellows.
• Deliver lectures, bedside clinics, demonstrations, seminars, and case discussions.
• Guide postgraduate dissertations and research projects as per institutional norms.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments.
• Develop teaching materials and academic content.

Research Responsibilities

• Initiate and participate in clinical and academic research.
• Publish research papers in indexed peer-reviewed journals.
• Present scientific papers at national and international conferences.
• Participate in research grants and collaborative projects.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Department in departmental planning and administration.
• Participate in institutional committees and accreditation activities.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Support quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Quality & Compliance

• Maintain standards prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Qualifications
