Job summary

Vitality Healthcare in Gujarat seeks a senior ENT academic to lead the department. You will design and supervise MBBS and PG curricula, deliver advanced ENT lectures and demonstrations, and guide thesis work for residents.

You will perform and supervise major ENT surgeries, manage OPD, lead ward rounds, and drive research and publications while ensuring NABH-compliant standards and departmental efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: MBBS followed by an MS or DNB in Otorhinolaryngology.
  • Experience: 10–12 years total teaching experience in a recognized medical college.
  • Must have served as an Associate Professor for at least 3 years.
  • Research Output: Publications in peer‑reviewed journals per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development for MBBS and post-graduate programs.
  • Deliver advanced ENT lectures and demonstrations.
  • Mentor PG residents and supervise research projects.
  • Serve as internal or external examiner for university exams.
  • Manage OPD for complex ENT cases.

Job description

  • Curriculum Development: Designing and overseeing the educational program for MBBS (undergraduate) and MS/DNB (post-graduate) students.
  • Lectures & Clinical Demonstrations: Delivering advanced lectures on complex ENT pathologies and surgical techniques.
  • Mentorship: Acting as a thesis guide for post-graduate residents, supervising their research projects, and monitoring their clinical progress.
  • Examination: Serving as an internal or external examiner for university-level medical examinations.
  • Clinical & Surgical Duties
  • Expert Consultation: Managing the Outpatient Department (OPD) for complex or referred cases involving the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck structures.
  • Surgical Leadership: Performing and supervising major surgeries, including: Otology: Tympanoplasty, Mastoidectomy, and Cochlear Implants. Rhinology: Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) and Septoplasty. Laryngology & Head/Neck: Thyroidectomies, Parotidectomies, and Oncological resections.
  • In-patient Care: Leading ward rounds and ensuring the highest standards of post-operative care and patient safety.
  • Research & Administration
  • Departmental Management: Overseeing the daily operations of the ENT department, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Publications: Conducting original research and publishing findings in indexed national and international medical journals.
  • Conferences: Representing the institution at medical forums, workshops, and CMEs (Continuing Medical Education).
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the department complies with medical council regulations and hospital accreditation standards (e.g., NABH).
