Job summary

Orion Pharma is seeking a dedicated Purchasing & Inventory specialist in Hyderabad to ensure timely availability of finished pharmaceutical products from external manufacturers. You will manage stock levels, supplier relations, and order workflows in a fast-paced pharma setting.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years’ experience in Purchasing and Inventory management of finished formulations in Pharmaceutical industry preferably EU / US markets.
  • Knowledge of EU requirements and ICH guidelines is desired.
  • Experience of working in ERP/SAP.
  • Task oriented with learning attitude.
  • Ability to work in team and flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal & written).
  • Logical and analytical ability.
  • Proactive with a desire to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability of finished pharmaceuticals products from external manufacturers at the right time with appropriate inventory management as per target.
  • Secure service level and optimal stock level; update weekly stock adequacy list.
  • Handle operative purchasing process flow for designated suppliers.
  • Provide forecast updates and manage purchase orders, rescheduling and stock transfers.
  • Coordinate delivery follow-up with suppliers and support invoicing processes.
  • Oversee logistics and EU re-analysis coordination; main point of contact for operative tasks towards suppliers and Orion.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings on operative purchasing issues and inform internal teams about product availability.
  • Assist the Manager responsible for Supplier and category management and development; maintain SAP product information for purchased products.
