Associate Director, Strategic Procurement

Job Title:Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing

About the Role

AsADVANZ PHARMA continues to strengthen its position as the partner of choice for specialty, hospital, and rare disease medicines, we are seeking anAssociate Director, Strategic Sourcingto join ourGlobal Supply Chain business, focused on managing and developing professional relationships and partnerships with third party suppliers of finished goods, materials and services to the company through the creation, development and application of modern alliance management practices.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Implement and execute category-specific procurement strategies that drive value, optimize supplier performance, and mitigate supply risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Lead commercial and contract negotiations, ensuring favourable business outcomes while sustaining long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for supplier-related commercial and contractual issues, driving timely and effective resolutions.
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and collaborate with Supply Chain teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities and support achievement of procurement and cost-of-goods targets.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers to assess performance, improvement plans, and future collaboration opportunities.
  • Maintain supplier records, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity and compliance.
  • Develop medium- and long-term supplier strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Generate procurement reports, share market and supplier intelligence, and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Undertake additional procurement and supplier management activities as required by the business.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate level (BA/BSc) in relevant subject or equivalent in experience
