The Hype Studio is seeking an Associate Manager - Public Relations with 3–5 years of PR experience to lead media relations, client servicing, and strategic PR initiatives. You will build industry relationships, develop compelling story ideas, and manage campaigns with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.

You will work closely with clients to protect and enhance brand image, craft press materials, and coordinate events and social amplification.

Job Summary:

We're looking-out for an experienced, articulate, and goal-oriented Associate Manager - Public Relations (PR) to join our team, with 3 to 5 years of experience in the PR industry. The ideal candidate will manage Media Relations, Client Servicing, help strategize public relations initiatives, work closely with clients to build and maintain their brand image and has extensive experience across diverse industries. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the media landscape, strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to execute campaigns and deliverables effectively, efficiently, and autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client and Industry Knowledge:

• Stay updated on client industries, competitors, and relevant trends by actively reading articles, press materials, marketing collateral, and strategy documents.
• Participate in client brainstorms and meetings, asking informed questions and providing creative recommendations.

2. Media Relations and Client Servicing:

• Identify and build relationships with journalists, editors, and other media contacts to secure regular media coverage for your clients with fixed monthly targets in mind.
• Assist in creating and maintaining customized media lists and developing story ideas tailored to target audiences.
• Build media relationships to benefit client campaigns and leverage opportunities for media exposure.
• Build strong relationships with your clients and their team to ensure smooth conversation and mutual understanding.
• Stay on top of client queries and support them with all their PR requirements.

3. Campaign Execution and Reporting:

• Execute PR strategies to align with clients' goals and measure campaign performance.
• Define and track PR KPIs in collaboration with the PR Head, producing detailed reports on campaign success and effectiveness.

4. Content Creation and Communication:

• Draft high-quality, actionable client-facing communications, including status reports, campaign summaries, and account activity reports.
• Develop press materials, story ideas, and responses to media inquiries.
• Support preparation and coordination of press events and manage social media amplification efforts for clients.

5. Collaboration and Development:

• Work with senior team members to develop case studies and contribute to new business proposals.
• Consistently demonstrate integrity, credibility, and inclusivity, building trust with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in PR, with a solid understanding of the media landscape with extensive experience across industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, public speaking abilities, and a proactive approach to project management.
• Ability to analyze PR metrics, generate actionable insights, and align with broader marketing goals.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
