Job description

The role is responsible for developing and executing strategic public relations initiatives that strengthen brand reputation, enhance media visibility, and support business objectives across clients. The incumbent will lead media relations, corporate communications, reputation management, crisis communications, and integrated PR campaigns while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The role focuses on building strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners to deliver impactful communication strategies that enhance brand credibility and engagement. Job Description:

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic public relations and communication plans aligned with client business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, media houses, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead proactive media outreach to secure high-quality earned media coverage across print, digital, television, radio, and online platforms.
• Draft and review press releases, media pitches, speeches, articles, thought leadership content, Q&A, briefing documents, and other communication materials.
• Manage media interactions, interviews, press conferences, product launches, and corporate events.
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify communication opportunities and potential risks.
• Develop and execute crisis communication strategies, issues management plans, and reputation management initiatives.
• Collaborate with Creative, Digital, Social Media, Content, and Client Servicing teams to deliver integrated communication campaigns.
• Prepare campaign reports, media analysis, share of voice reports, and PR measurement dashboards with actionable insights.
• Support new business pitches by developing communication strategies, PR proposals, and media engagement plans.
• Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, communication standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
• Mentor junior team members, provide strategic guidance, and contribute to capability building within the PR function.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Reputation Management, or Strategic Communications, preferably within a PR agency, communications consultancy, or corporate communications function.
• Bachelor's degree in mass communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A postgraduate qualification in Communications or an MBA is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in developing and executing integrated PR campaigns for corporate, consumer, lifestyle, technology, or B2B brands.
• Strong network and working relationships with journalists, editors, media houses, and digital publications.
• Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills with experience creating press releases, media kits, opinion pieces, and executive communications.
• Experience in media monitoring, campaign measurement, crisis communications, and reputation management.
