Job summary

GMR Group is seeking a skilled C&I Maintenance professional for the BTG area of a 2x300 MW power plant in Odisha. The role requires following documented preventive maintenance procedures, timely calibration, defect management, and reliable operation for uninterrupted power supply.

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech in ECE/Instrumentation/Control & Instrumentation is required.
6–8 years of experience in maintenance of power plants >100 MW.
Experience in C&I maintenance in BTG area and shutdown planning is essential.

Responsibilities

Execute day-to-day maintenance of C&I systems in BTG on a shift rota basis.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance per schedule.
Lead capability building and training for technicians.
Manage spares: procurement, SAP MM, and vendor vetting.
Ensure safety compliance and conduct tool box talks at site.
Drive continual improvement and CIP/SIP in BTG area.

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE

Provide plant BTG area C&I Maintenance activities for 2 X 300 MW sub-critical boiler thermal power station on a SHIFT ROTA basis. The job requires following the standard documented procedure for preventive maintenance, scheduled calibration activities, defect management for reliable and uninterrupted power generation & supply and ensure achievement of business targets, plant performance monitoring.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities

Maintenance management:

Execution of day to day maintenance of C&I system of BTG area on a Shift Rota Basis.

Execution of corrective and preventive maintenance of C&I system of BTG area as per plan by Manager.

Execution of Shutdown maintenance of C&I system of BTG area as per schedule plan .

Execution of Opportunity based maintenance of C&I system of BTG area.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

% completion of defect notifications
% completion of Preventive maintenance
% completion of instruments calibration
Timely completion of shutdown activities
%Availability of C&I instruments and control room OT systems (e.g, DCS/ PLC servers, clients, network switches, panel infrastructures, etc.)

Responsibilities

Capability building:

Training associate manpower/ technicians on technical topics sharing insights aimed at improving productivity at work.

Proactive involvement in departmental projects (other than routine jobs) and learning new aspects both technically and behaviorally.

No. of Knowledge Sharing Sessions for associates/ technicians.
Attending Technical trainings conducted by external party.
Sharing beneficial technical updates in GMR Knowledge Management Portal.

Responsibilities

Spares Management:

Timely stock monitor and review report to manager .

Material procurement requisition through SAP MM module

Technical negotiation and technical vetting

Raising Service requisition as per requirement

Vendor development and localisation

Zero Unavailability of instruments due on-availability of spares.
Vendor satisfaction
Number of local vendors.

Responsibilities

Safety management:

Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards;

Motivating team members to ensure safety at workplace.

Increasing awareness regarding safety and health among team members.

Execute at site tool box with technician and associates .

No. of accidents of BTG C&I team members and contract workers of BTG C&I area.
Near miss reporting.
Use of PPE by BTG C&I work force.

Responsibilities

Continual Improvement:

Identifying areas of improvement in BOP/BTG area.

Planning and execution of identified CIP,SIP in BTG area

No. of CIP and SIP identified by BTG C&I department.
No. of CIP and SIP implemented by BTG C&I department.

Responsibilities

EHS Attributes :

Well knowledge of OHSAS & EMS and QMS ( Integrated Management System) and AMS system , Knowledge of Onsite emergency preparedness plan and its implementation

Knowledge of Fire detection system, Environment monitoring system

Detail knowledge and Conversant with Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Aspect Impact assessment methodology regarding ISMS , EHS and asset Management .

Conversant with preparation of Safe operating procedures, Safe maintenance procedures for plant equipmentâs and activity.

Familiar with Investigation of incident, prepare RCA and CAPA reports

Leading and Review of ISMS , AMS . IMS management system findings and its implementation at plant
