Job summary

GMR Group seeks a seasoned BTG C&I Maintenance professional to lead the upkeep of two 300 MW sub‑critical boilers on a shift rota at Angul. You will drive preventive maintenance, calibration, defect management and timely shutdowns to sustain reliable power generation.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, or Control & Instrumentation with a relevant specialty.
• 6–8 years of total experience, with a minimum of 3 years in maintenance of power plants >100MW capacity.
• Knowledge of BTG (Boiler-Turbine-Generator) C&I systems and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain BTG C&I systems and plant instrumentation to ensure availability and reliability.
• oversee preventive maintenance, scheduled calibrations and defect management.
• Ensure timely shutdown activities and compliance with safety norms.
• Manage spares, contractor coordination and vendor interfaces for maintenance.
• Document and report EHS, quality, and process improvements.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Provide plant BTG area C&I Maintenance activities for 2 X 300 MW sub-critical boiler thermal power station on a SHIFT ROTA basis. The job requires following the standard documented procedure for preventive maintenance, scheduled calibration activities, defect management for reliable and uninterrupted power generation & supply and ensure achievement of business targets, plant performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintenance management

• % completion of defect notifications
• % completion of Preventive maintenance
