Job summary

Adani Group invites an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical construction and commissioning for Thermal Power Plant projects in Madhya Pradesh’s Waidhan. You will supervise transformers, switchgear, bus ducts, cables, and earthing systems while ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.

Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, and contractors, plan pre-commissioning and startup activities, and ensure on-schedule progress with a strong focus on safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• M.Tech (Power Systems) will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical construction and installation activities for Thermal Power Plant projects.
• Supervise erection of Transformers, HT/LT Switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, Bus Ducts, Cable Systems, Earthing & Lighting Systems.
• Ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project standards.
• Monitor project progress and ensure achievement of construction milestones.
• Plan and execute pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
• Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, contractors, and commissioning teams.
• Conduct testing of power transformers, switchgear, motors, protection systems, cables, and switchyard equipment.
• Support unit synchronization and plant startup activities.
• Manage erection and commissioning of AIS/GIS switchyards.
• Ensure successful commissioning of power evacuation systems, protection schemes, and control systems.
• Oversee electrical interfaces between generation and transmission systems.
• Review project schedules and ensure timely resource deployment.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, C&I, Planning, and Quality teams.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and recommend mitigation plans.
• Track progress against project milestones and provide regular MIS updates.
• Monitor contractor productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
• Verify measurement sheets, work completion reports, and contractor bills.
• Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, electrical standards, and statutory regulations.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures at site.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and safety reviews.
• Promote a strong safety culture with zero accident objectives.
