Job summary

ECHO India in Delhi seeks an experienced Grant Writer to support capacity-building programs by crafting compelling proposals, managing timelines, and coordinating with project teams and funders to ensure deliverables meet donor expectations.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, excellent report writing and communication skills, and the ability to work across geographies. You will also help develop MIS for grant reporting and support the fundraising team.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in grants or fundraising.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in project management and related skills (proposal writing, Gantt charts).
• Budget planning and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Create grant proposals and secure new funding.
• Plan budgets for new proposals with finance.
• Ensure grant deliverables meet timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create grant proposals for securing new grants.
• Plan budgets for new proposals (in collaboration with the finance team).
• Ensure all grant deliverables are being met as per timelines (for assigned grants).
• Build and maintain relationship with relevant stakeholders (funder team of assigned grants).
• Work closely with the projects teams, quality team and support functions for grant reporting.
• Create and maintain MIS for grant reporting.
• Create reports / presentations for external and internal stakeholders.
• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders involved in the grant.
• Responsible for research and content creation for purpose of the grant.
• Support research to the fundraising team.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Grant wise deliverables and timelines
• Reporting TAT
• Number of proposals created
