Job summary

Indorama Ventures GCC in Kolkata seeks an Associate Logistics role to support SCM-Procurement and Logistics operations. You will manage planning, documentation, and MIS, underpinning transactional and tactical procurement processes across logistics functions.

Ideal candidates have a four-year degree, SAP and MS Office proficiency, and a track record in cost-saving purchasing within manufacturing. Collaboration across regional teams is essential, with a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in purchasing for manufacturing with cost-savings track record preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, and Logistics modules (Transportation & Warehouse).
• Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Experience with MDG Vendor/Master data creation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute Logistics operations including Planning, Documentation, MIS.
• Handle Logistics processes: STO, SOPO, POSO, PGI, GRN, OBD, BOL, Shipping Docs, LC, Sales Invoice, ARD, Truck In/Out, Road/Rail/Sea/Air Transport.
• Provide tactical support for Logistics MIS, Analytics, and Dashboards.
• Promote internal customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with site personnel in Americas on strategic initiatives and contracts.
• Support internal reporting requirements.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.

Indorama's Global Capability Center (GCC) is building out its SCM-Procurement function within GCC, which will support on both transactional and tactical procurement processes including Logistics

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Position responsible for executing Logistics operations including but not limited to Planning, Documentation, MIS. Well aware about various processes e.g. STO, SOPO, POSO, PGI, GRN, OBD, BOL, Shipping Documentation, LC, Sales Invoice, ARD, Truck In/Out, Road/Rail/Sea/Air Transport process and documentation, OTIF
• Should have experience in any of SCM functions - Material Handling and Storage, Inventory and Warehouse, Packaging and Labelling, Transportation and Shipping, Order Processing
• Provides tactical process support, such as for Logistics MIS, Analytics, Dashboards etc.
• Responsible for internal customer satisfaction
• Drive identification of continuous improvement opportunities throughout the organization
• Responsible for promoting the company spirit and a world class image to customers and colleagues
• Interaction with site level personnel in the Americas region on strategic initiatives and contract terms
• Provide support for internal reporting requirements
• Work on special projects or programs as needed

Educational Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Four-year college degree or equivalent experience

Experience

• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing industry with a demonstrated track record on cost savings in a similar role is preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task and pro-actively identify solutions
• Must have working experience in S4 HANA, Transport and Warehouse Management Module
• Must have excellent computer skills including Power Point (PPT), Excel Advance Formulae /Pivot, and Word
• Sound knowledge of MDG Vendor master/material master creation is preferable.
• Works independently with limited direct supervision
• Energetic, self-motivated, dependable individual with good communication and people skills
• Experience with ERP system SAP is preferred

Technical Skills

Experience with workflow management tools, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP), and Microsoft office applications, including managing large databases

Behavioural Skills

• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Teanacity to work in international environment with operational challenges across different time zone / Countries / department
