Job summary

S&P Global Market Intelligence in India is seeking an associate for the Loan Operations team to support onboarding, data research, and trade processing for syndicated loans and related SAAS tools. You will interact with clients of varying seniority and gain exposure to the finance and loan markets while contributing to data integrity and system functionality.

About the Role:

The associate will be part of a dynamic team, responsible forall onboarding, dataresearch, and processing functionson the LoanOperationsTeam which primarily supportsClearParusersand their system functionality needs.

In this position, you will gain exposure to an exciting financial market and interact daily with our clients of varying levels of seniority.This is an exciting opportunity to learn about finance, banking, syndicated loan market, andSoftware as a Services (SAAS)technology.

  • As an Associate, you are expected to support our clients and the business withoperationalduties and alltrade supportfunctions to ensure sufficient trade and syndicated facility data integrity. These include but are not limited toguiding clients thru our interface, creation of Primary and Secondary trades, managing closing of trades,accuratereviewingof the documentation,timelyexecution of requests from clients and daily review and action of control and exception reports.
  • Strict adherenceto processing deadlines, quality-controlled operational processes, andLSTA standards for processing and closure of primary and secondary par loan transactions and/or trades.
  • You willbe responsible forpro-activelyidentifyinginternal and external tradeandsystem related issues effectively. This will also require the ability to work seamlessly with internal partnersand management on resolutionplans and/oradditionalescalations.
  • Your ability to capture and channel user feedbackthrough proper communication and listening skills is imperative. You willbe requiredtopartnerwithleaders, peers, product associates, sales, and relationship managers on required projects toservice our clients andfacilitatethe continuous improvement of our products and services.
  • You should be willing and able to cross train with neighboring divisions of the firm to provide an agile workforce capable of handling issues and engaging with joint clients.
  • Working hours: 6:00 PM IST - 3 :00 AM IST

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to organize and prioritize complex issues and projects to completion
  • Able todemonstrateknowledge and experience in working with internet-based applications
  • Ability to think laterally, provide proper issue analyses,and questioncurrentprocesses
  • Eager to learn with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient PC skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong process improvement skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred)
  • Workexperience within the financial and/or syndicated loan industry
  • Fresh graduates with strong interest in client managementor operationscan be considered
  • Strong MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
