Job summary

BTVK Advisory is seeking a capable Senior Application Support Engineer in Bengaluru to provide daily admin and operation support for enterprise apps and SaaS platforms. You will collaborate with Senior Engineers on onboarding, upgrades, and lifecycle activities, ensuring governance and security controls are upheld.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of licensing concepts, and experience evaluating software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or application operations.
• Working knowledge of software licensing models and license compliance concepts.
• Exposure to evaluating software solutions and supporting Proof of Concepts (POCs) or technology assessments.
• Working knowledge of application governance, access management, and security practices.
• Exposure to enterprise platforms and integration concepts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administration and operational support for enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and internally developed applications under the direction of Senior Application Support Engineers.
• Support application lifecycle activities, including onboarding, upgrades, maintenance, enhancements, and retirement, and assist with application transitions and knowledge transfer.
• Assist in maintaining governance standards, access management, security controls, and role-based permissions in accordance with established policies.
• Support compliance with organizational security, audit, and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate application documentation and operating procedures.
• Assist in managing software licensing across enterprise and SaaS applications, monitor license utilization, and help identify opportunities to optimize license allocation.
• Support software consolidation and contract review efforts, working with Vendor Management and Procurement as directed during license renewals.
• Support the evaluation of new software solutions, assisting with Proof of Concepts (POCs), pilot programs, and technology assessments.
• Assist in assessing product roadmaps and vendor capabilities and help identify platform enhancements that improve productivity and business outcomes.
• Support adoption of new features across platforms and assist with integration of enterprise applications across business and technical teams.
• Assist with API integrations, automation initiatives, and workflow improvements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand application requirements and escalation improvement opportunities to Senior Application Support Engineers or service owners.
• Maintain clear and timely ticket hygiene, ensuring incidents, changes, and requests related to applications are accurately logged, updated, and tracked to resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or application operations.
• Working knowledge of software licensing models and license compliance concepts.
• Exposure to evaluating software solutions and supporting Proof of Concepts (POCs) or technology assessments.
• Working knowledge of application governance, access management, and security practices.
• Familiarity with application integrations and platform administration concepts.
• Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visual Studio, GitHub, SharePoint Online, boomi.com, Atlassian Suite or other enterprise SaaS or internally developed business platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and follow established procedures.
