Job summary

UST seeks a Data Management Analyst 2 to safeguard data integrity across key asset management datasets and to support daily data delivery for investment and client reporting. You will collaborate with stakeholders, run checks, and assist on data-related projects, including maintenance of pricing and reference data.

Qualifications

• Excellent PC skills, particularly Excel and Word, PowerPoint.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders across departments.
• Basic understanding of Securities data (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives), pricing and Index Data.
• Basic knowledge of Corporate Action Event pricing methodologies.
• Degree in business, finance or accounting.
• Experience with data (instrument, price, index, etc.) in an asset management context.
• Further education in Finance such as IOC/IMC.
• Experience with Excel formulas, macros, VBA, Power Query, SQL.
• Experience of working on projects with a substantial data component.
• Xceptor Practitioner Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure data integrity for stakeholders and quality through checks and monitoring.
• Maintain data sets: Client & Portfolio, Securities and Reference Data, Index/Benchmark and Pricing.
• Deliver timely and accurate data to support investment and client reporting.
• Set up and maintain security, index and price data on the data management platform.
• Perform checks on security master, index and pricing data; monitor daily feeds.
• Review exception reports and pricing; research prices for illiquid securities.
• Input prices from various sources and recalculate PE price after events.
• Handle data queries from stakeholders and assist Line Manager on projects.
• Test Change Requests and system releases; maintain automation (robots) used by the team.

Job title: Data Management Analyst 2

This role is to hire a Business Process Operations Analyst Who we’re looking for

• The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring data integrity for our stakeholders and quality through various checks and monitoring activities.
• The Data Management team covers four key operational data sets, Client & Portfolio (C&P), Securities and Reference Data, Index/Benchmark and Pricing.
• The group is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of data to facilitate the Investment and client reporting processes.

What you’ll do

• Setup and maintenance of security, index and price data on our global Data management platform as required by our stakeholders.
• Performing various checks on security master, index and pricing data
• Monitor and quality control of daily data feeds received from various sources
• Review exception reports, missing price reports, maintaining spreadsheets for manual pricing, researching appropriate prices for illiquid securities
• Inputting prices for instruments manually from various sources
• Recalculate the PE price following a PE event e.g. drawdown.
• Monitor team mailboxes and ensure all data queries from stakeholders are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist Line Manager in project work
• Testing of Change Requests to the system as well as new system releases
• Maintaining the various programme automations(“robots”) in use by the team

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Excellent PC skills, particularly Excel and Word, PowerPoint

• Have a basic understanding of Securities data (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives), pricing and Index Data
• Basic knowledge of Corporate Action Event pricing methodologies

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

• Degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance or accounting
• Previous experience of data (instrument, price, index, etc.) in an asset management context
• Further education in Finance e.g. IOC/IMC
• Experience with Aladdin, S&P (Markit) EDM, T24
• Experience of using Data Vendors i.e. Refinitiv Eikon & Datascope, Bloomberg, ICE
• Working knowledge of Excel formulas, macros, VBA, Power Query, SQL
• Experience of working on projects with a substantial data component
