Job summary

Shipco IT is seeking an Associate – Finance in Pune to support day‑to‑day financial operations, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and contribute to timely financial reporting. You will work with ERP systems, handle data entry, and maintain records, applying Indian and global accounting principles.

The ideal candidate holds a Finance/Accounting degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with strong MS Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable and/or general ledger.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations and global accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter, verify, and update financial data in ERP systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Review source documents to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to data entry.
• Prepare and upload accounting templates into ERP systems.
• Maintain organized records and files in digital and physical formats.
• Generate periodic/ad‑hoc financial reports for management.
• Conduct regular data quality checks and resolve discrepancies.
• Safeguard confidentiality and security of company financial information.
