Job summary

Teri In is seeking a Research Engineer/Scientist in Delhi to lead and execute water resources projects across industrial, domestic, and agricultural sectors.

The role involves data collection, field surveys, use of GIS, flow meters, water-quality testing equipment, and preparing technical reports. Candidates should have MSc/MTech (or PhD) in Civil/Water Resources Engineering and 4+ years (or 2+ years with PhD) of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• MSc/ M.Tech in Civil Engineering with 4+ years in water resources management, water audit & water use efficiency, or related areas.
• PhD in Civil Engineering with 2+ years in water resources management, water audit & water use efficiency, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct project activities, meetings, and stakeholder consultations.

Job description

Research

• - Undertake projects related to water audit, water-use efficiency, water conservation, and demand management across industrial, domestic, and irrigation sectors.
• - Develop strategies and action plans for water neutrality and water positivity across relevant sectors.
• - Conduct field visits to industries, institutions, and other establishments for surveys, data collection, assessments, and project implementation.
• - Demonstrate familiarity with pipe water monitoring and assessment, instrumentation including flow meters, water-quality testing equipment, and related field instruments.
• - Undertake assessments covering policy, regulatory, institutional, and economic aspects of water and related sectors.
• - Apply GIS, remote sensing, and geospatial techniques for water resources assessment and management.
• - Support project planning, execution, monitoring and delivery, including preparation and submission of technical and financial reports.
• - Prepare high-quality technical reports, technical notes, and research publications in relevant areas.
• - Contribute to business development, proposal development and client engagement.
• - Work independently as well as collaboratively across multidisciplinary research team and, where required, lead field-based activities.

General responsibilities

• - Assist in planning and conducting project meetings, stakeholder consultations workshops, etc.
• - Assist in building relationships with a wider community of industry and government stakeholders in the water domain

Experience

Qualification

• Education M.Sc./ M. Tech. in Civil Engineering- Water Resources Engineering- Environmental Engineering- or a related discipline with more than 4 years working experience in water resources management- water audit & water use efficiency- wastewater- water neutrality framework and assessment.
• Or-
  Ph.D. in Civil Engineering- Water Resources Engineering- Environmental Engineering- or a related discipline with more than 2 years working experience in water resources management- water audit & water use efficiency- wastewater- water neutrality framework and assessment.
