Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) is hiring a Lead Engineer in Bengaluru to drive NPI, redesign, production support, obsolescence and sustenance for Aircraft Evacuation Systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in India and the USA, applying solid mechanics and structural analysis.

The role requires 2–3 years of aerospace stress analysis experience and proficiency with Hypermesh, MSC Nastran, Patran, and ANSYS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 2–3 years of industry experience in stress analysis for aerospace components.

Responsibilities

Overview:

In this role the Lead Engineer will actively participate in NPI, redesign, Production support, obsolescence and sustenance activities of Aircraft Evacuation Systems and components. Collaborate with Engineering and Operation cross functional team in India and USA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of core engineering principles and fundamentals, particularly in mechanics and structural analysis.
• Knowledge or experience in aerospace component/structural design will be considered a valuable advantage.
• Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 (Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Composites and metallic structures will be an added advantage.
• Tools : Hypermesh/Hyperworks, MSC Nastran, MSC Patran, ANSYS

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 2 to 3 years of Industry experience in Stress Analysis for aerospace components.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Stress Analysis for Aerospace Interiors Products.
• Minimum 2 yrs experience in Hyperworks & MSC NASTRAN
• Experience in ANSYS software will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of machine design, materials and problem solving.
• Sound Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals and experience on hand-calculations.
• Knowledge on Composites and metallic structures will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to work across different time zones and shifts based on customer requirements.
