Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to perform analyses of metallic aerospace components and support the complete product development lifecycle.

You will use engineering fundamentals, hand calculations, and FEA to solve complex problems and support design, development, validation, and field troubleshooting. The role requires DO‑160G awareness and collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in static, vibration, thermal, and fatigue analysis of metallic structures using hand calculations and FEA.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one commercial FEA package, preferably ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Icepak, or ANSYS Sherlock.
  • Strong understanding of Strength of Materials and classical engineering hand‑calculation methods.
  • Experience with aerospace standards and a clear understanding of DO‑160G analysis requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Good technical writing skills with the ability to prepare clear engineering documentation.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will perform structural analyses of metallic aerospace components and support the complete product development lifecycle.

You will use a combination of engineering fundamentals, hand calculations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to solve complex technical problems and support product design, development, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Exposure to FEA automation using Python, C/C++, C#, or Visual Studio .NET.
  • Experience working with global customers or cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering projects, processes, and systems, with the ability to apply and enhance existing methodologies.
  • Experience supporting technical reviews, presentations, and customer‑facing discussions.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, where applicable
