Associate – PDM
The Associate – PDM will work within the practice on large, multi‑disciplinary projects in India, covering airports, commercial, residential, cultural, and sport projects. The role requires travel within the country for site visits and meetings.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead projects as project leaders, ensuring budgets are adhered to and profit targets met.
- Draft fee proposals, negotiate fees with clients, and autonomously represent the firm.
- Attend and chair meetings with architects, planners, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and manage commercial risks, driving project performance and service delivery.
- Ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the project.
Leadership
- Lead design, analysis and consultancy on projects in partnership with the Project Leader/Project Director.
- Coach, mentor and support junior employees to enhance effectiveness and success.
Collaboration
- Establish a strong internal and external network to support work‑winning through bidding and repeat work.
- Work in a multi‑discipline environment interfacing with core disciplines, specialists, architects and clients.
Technical Competence
- Propose multiple creative solutions, documenting benefits and shortfalls for the client.
- Produce reports, presentations, models and drawings as required.
- Apply the firm’s internal quality assurance procedures and seek continual improvement.
- Continuously develop professional knowledge and undertake CPD.

Required Experience
- Hands‑on design delivery of minimum two aviation projects in the region.
- 15+ years of experience in technical and project design delivery.
- Excellent business communication skills.
- Preferably Chartered Engineer with recognised international accreditation.
- Experience with international projects and global matrix organisations.
Desirable Experience
- Multiple stints in international working environments.
- Proven success across the region and capability to drive performance improvement.
Required Qualifications and Accreditations
- Degree in Civil/Structures engineering.
- Professional accreditation from a recognised organisation.
- Experience as a lead designer and/or project manager on large, complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Strong facilitation, team leadership and communication capabilities.
- Understanding of policy and regulation relevant to projects.
- Extensive external network to support the role.
