Principal Structural Engineer – Aviation

We are looking for an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to lead aviation projects, working independently and within multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality calculations, models, reports, and designs to client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural calculations, models, reports, and presentations to an excellent standard, on time and within budget.
• Share work for review by senior colleagues and review the work of others for quality assurance.
• Present designs at internal workshops and chair external meetings with clients and consultants.
• Lead teams by making timely decisions and corrective actions while fostering a high-performance environment.
• Collaborate with external clients and engage with internal discipline designers.
• Inform colleagues of design decisions to ensure company and client objectives are achieved.
• Prepare fee proposals or bids and competitive designs alongside senior colleagues.
• Coordinate work with other project team members and contribute to internal technical development.
• Mentor and assist graduates and less experienced engineers, maintaining professional development and chartership.
• Maintain an active external and internal professional network.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience in aviation projects; international experience is an advantage.
• Experience with secondary steel structures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software; Revit Structures is an advantage.
• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of relevant domestic standards.
