Job summary

KONE in India is seeking an engineer who understands KONE equipment, technical design, and product strengths and limits. You will analyse contracts, select the right solutions, and design circuit diagrams for non-standard elevator requests, providing a BOM to Production.

You will consider safety, maintainability and sustainability, and address cost implications. You will collaborate across teams, share knowledge, update stakeholders, work independently, and apply a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of KONE equipment offerings and the technical strengths and limitations of products.
• Ability to analyse contracts and specifications to select the right products.
• Ability to design circuit diagrams for elevators with non-standard requirements.
• Provide BOMs to Production based on diagrams.
• Consider safety, maintenance and manufacturability; promote sustainability when possible.
• Cost understanding of solutions and components.
• Teamwork, good communication, and willingness to work flexibly between teams.

• Knowledge and understanding of KONE equipment offering, technical design, structure, and details and of the technical strengths and limitations of products.
• Analyses contracts and specifications for equipment and selects the right products for the required solution.
• Designs the circuit diagrams for an elevator with required non-standard requirements.
• Provides Bill of materials to Production based on the diagrams.
• Takes safety, maintenance and manufacturability aspects into account and designs environmentally sustainable solutions when possible.
• Cost understanding of solutions and components
• Updates order progress to other stakeholders on a timely basis.
• As a member of an engineering team, shares his/her knowledge and skills with colleagues and participates actively in meetings and workshops.
• Works independently on the assigned tasks and delivers the required results on time.
• Applies a customer service mind set.
