Job summary

KONE seeks a skilled Material Data Specialist to support field teams and lifecycle management of elevator, escalator, and door components. You will manage material master data, create new materials, and perform BOM governance in a global supply environment.

You will work with SAP, PDM/PLM, and data tools to ensure accurate part identification, RFQ handling, and data integrity, contributing to global service operations and spare parts excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics is required.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, BOM handling and data management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Frontlines with accurate material identification.
• Maintain and manage Material Master Data / Product Data.
• Experienced in new material creations and BOM Management
• Conduct material replacement studies, ensuring functionality, quality, and safety.
• Perform physical material identification against existing material databases.
• Offer spare parts technical support to service technicians and frontline teams.
• Handle RFQ processes for new and existing materials.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Team Leader or Manager effectively.

Global Spares Supply (GSS) provides all the spares, tools and field support that are needed to perform maintenance that exceeds our customer's expectations. Cost effectively and on-time. Quality spare parts for Elevators, Escalators and Automatic Building Doors KONE parts, commercial parts, strategic parts & competitor parts Tools, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and working clothes Supply Chain solutions and delivery management.

We are seeking this role to provide technical assistance to field teams and support on the lifecycle of elevator, escalator, and building door products. This role combines hands-on technical knowledge with digital tools and data management to drive efficiency, ensure material data quality, and deliver high-quality spare technical solutions across global operations.

4.What will you be doing?

• Assist Frontlines with accurate material identification.
• Maintain and manage Material Master Data / Product Data.

5.Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SAP, PDM/PLM systems, and BOM interpretation
• Familiarity with Elevator, Escalator and Building Door products
• Proficiency in O365, SharePoint, and engineering drawing tools
• Effective communication in English and ability to work independently
• Understanding of supply chain, materials and master data.

6.Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on design experience with Creo, AutoCAD, ProgeCAD
• Field experience in installation and commissioning
• Experience with VariPDM, Adobe tools, and technical documentation
