Job summary

Siemens in India seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer for the Steel Melting Shop to execute and oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and safety compliance. You will work with supervisors, foremen, fitters, and technicians to plan, schedule, and document activities, with a focus on reducing downtime through effective spare management.

The role requires hands-on electrical/control expertise, knowledge of Siemens drives (S120, G120) and ABB VFDs, plus strong

Qualifications

• Experience in executing maintenance activities in a Steel Melting Shop.
• Knowledge of Electrical Power & Control systems.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens drives S120, G120 and ABB VFD like ACS 580, 800, 850.
• Strong troubleshooting and breakdown analysis skills.
• Provide technical expertise to maintenance staff (supervisors, foremen, fitters, technicians).
• Organize, plan and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities.
• Plan routine maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
• Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
• Spare management to reduce downtime.
• Knowledge of safety systems and safety procedures in electrical work.
• Coordination and communication with team and clients.
• Report preparation, PPT & Excel familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance activities in the Steel Melting Shop.

Qualification Requirements

• You should have minimum 5 years’ experience preferably in SMS plant with bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronic engineering.
• Experience in maintenance of electrical systems of SMS plant
• Experience in Steel Plant / Metal Plant is mandatory.
• Shall be able to join within One month from the date of Offer.
• Shall have the Supervisory license for HT/LT systems.
