Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru, India is seeking an aerospace publications specialist to develop and revise CMM, CMP, AMM and AIPC, ensuring S1000D data modules meet industry standards.

You will work with CSDB environments, use Adobe FrameMaker and Arbortext Editor to interpret engineering drawings and change documentation, and collaborate with engineering, illustration and PLM teams to deliver accurate manuals on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in authoring aerospace technical publications such as CMM, AMM, AIPC, and S1000D Data Modules.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe FrameMaker and Arbortext Editor.
• Knowledge of Common Source Database (CSDB) environments.
• Familiarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter and Enovia.
• Working knowledge of XML, SGML, and structured authoring workflows.
• Understanding of ATA100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D aerospace documentation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical change documentation.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Develop and revise Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Component Maintenance Publications (CMP), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), and Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogues (AIPC) for aircraft components and systems.
• Create and maintain S1000D data modules ensuring compliance with aerospace technical publication standards.
• Author clear and accurate assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
• Work with Common Source Databases (CSDB) to manage and maintain structured technical documentation.
