Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Publications Engineer in Bengaluru to join our Aerospace Technical Publications team. You will collaborate with authors, illustrators, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop high-quality documentation for aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with ATA, iSpec 2200, and S1000D standards.

You will lead publication development using CSDB and PLM tools, maintain accuracy, and support continuous improvement while delivering on-time,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in technical publications within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise SBs, CMMs, and CMPs for aircraft components.
• Author and proofread publications per ATA100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D.
• Collaborate with engineers and illustrators to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret drawings and change notices (SBs, ECNs, TRs, SILs, ATPs).
• Plan and manage documentation projects to meet deadlines.
• Use CSDB environments for structured documentation development.
• Ensure ASD-STE compliance where applicable.
• Support continuous improvement in documentation quality.

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Publications Engineer to join our Aerospace Technical Publications team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with authors, illustrators, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation for aircraft components and systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring documentation complies with ATA, iSpec 2200, and S1000D standards, delivering accurate, structured, and user-friendly publications that support aircraft maintenance and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create and revise Service Bulletins (SBs), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), and CMPs for aircraft components and systems.
• Author and proofread technical publications in compliance with ATA100, iSpec 2200, and S1000D standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, illustration, and product teams to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Interpret engineering drawings, change drivers, and technical inputs such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters, ECNs, TRs, SILs, and ATPs.
• Develop and implement best practices to improve documentation quality, consistency, and productivity.
• Plan, track, and manage documentation projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high attention to detail even under tight schedules.
• Utilize Common Source Database (CSDB) environments for structured documentation development.
• Ensure compliance with ASD Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE) standards where applicable.
• Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications you should have
