Job summary

AECOM, a global infrastructure leader, seeks a senior mechanical/civil engineering leader in Gurgaon with 15+ years of experience in PHE and fire across multiple sectors. You will define sector strategies, lead design excellence programs, and approve high-risk designs while driving digital delivery and model federation.

The role emphasizes executive client relationships and strategic bid leadership. Hybrid work location in IN - Gurgaon on-site facilities, with collaboration across a global team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 15–18+ years of experience with recognized subject-matter expertise in PHE & Fire across one or more sectors.
• Strategy development, governance, and client leadership capabilities; authoritative command of codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Define sector strategy (high-rise, data center, healthcare/commercial) and capability roadmap; align with enterprise goals and market demands.
• Lead design excellence programs—audits, KPIs, benchmarks, lessons learned; reduce rework and elevate first-time-right delivery.
• Approve high-risk designs (complex pump rooms, large tanks, special hazard systems—water mist, foam, clean agent); sign off redundancy topologies and resilience strategies.
• Drive digital delivery and automation (model-based QA, rule-based checks, calculation libraries); champion interdisciplinary integration and model federation.
• Represent the firm at industry bodies, standards committees and conferences; publish thought leadership and technical white papers.
• Cultivate executive client relationships and oversee strategic bids and negotiations.
