Job description

Associate: Community Relations & Government Liaison

0-2

Full-Time

Designation:

We are a community of young teams with big goals who believe in collective efforts.

Our academic vision is to ensure all students achieve academic excellence and age-appropriate social and emotional awareness and regulation. We want to bring change to create an inspiring, community-focused school that will empower all students to become role models in their communities and solve local and global problems.

At Anubhuti, our Operations Team is the backbone of our mission. They are the "Fixers" who ensure the school environment is safe, compliant, and welcoming. They act as the bridge between our unique sustainable campus and the outside world. An Operations Manager at Anubhuti is a guardian of the institution's integrity, ensuring that while teachers focus on the mind, the administration takes care of the environment and the community.

What you’ll be accountable for:
School Recognition & Affiliation
  • Secure and maintain school recognition and affiliation (BSA, State Govt) and handle all official file movements.
Land and Revenue Matters
  • Manage land and revenue matters with the Tehsil/Lekhpal, including land‑use conversion and boundary security.
Building & Safety Certifications
  • Ensure valid certification for Building Safety (NBC), Fire Safety, and Sanitation at all times.
Community Relations & Trust Building
  • Act as the primary bridge between the school and the Gram Pradhan/Panchayat to ensure social support.
  • Lead "Chaupal" meetings to explain the school’s vision and its unique CSEB (Mud block) architecture to parents, dispelling myths about "kucha" construction.
  • Handle parent grievances regarding non‑academic issues (transport, facilities) with empathy.
Operations & Logistics
  • Manage the school transport system (driver verification, route planning, and safety compliance).
  • Oversee local procurement of supplies (food, maintenance materials) to ensure cost‑effectiveness.
  • Manage logistics for donor visits and external auditors, ensuring a professional and hospitable experience.
Documentation & NGO Compliance
  • Maintain audit‑ready physical and digital records of school activities and vouchers for 12A/80G and CSR compliance.
  • Ensure accurate data entry for government portals like UDISE+ and RTE reimbursement claims.
  • Manage the admission process for the 25% RTE (EWS) quota.
What you will get:
Knowledge
  • Regulatory Landscape: In-depth understanding of the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) processes, RTE Act, and UP Education codes.
  • NGO Administration: Knowledge of Trust/Society compliance, CSR audit requirements, and documentation.
  • Sustainable Architecture: Understanding of CSEB and eco‑friendly construction to effectively communicate its value to the community.
  • Local Governance: Deep insight into how Gram Panchayats and Tehsil offices function.
Skills
  • Liaison & Negotiation: Ability to navigate government offices and persist until the work is done without getting frustrated.
  • Communication: Fluent Hindi and local dialect for village interactions; functional English is a must as you’ll be interacting with donors/visitors from outside the country.
  • Crisis Management: Ability to handle immediate operational issues (transport breakdown, site disputes) calmly.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in organizing files, basic Excel, and digital portals (UDISE/Government sites).
  • Public Speaking: Confidence to address village gatherings or explain the project to visiting officials.
Mindset
  • Resilience: A "thick skin" to handle bureaucratic delays and community skepticism without losing motivation.
  • Solution‑Oriented (Jugaad): The ability to find legal and ethical workarounds for logistical blockers in a rural setting.
  • Service‑Leadership: Viewing administration not as "power" but as a service to the teachers and students.
  • Integrity: Unwavering honesty in handling cash, vouchers, and government records.
  • Cultural Humility: Respect for rural traditions while advocating for modern educational practices.
Education and Experience

Graduate in Law, Social Work (MSW), Public Administration, or Management. 1‑3 years of experience in liaisoning, field operations, or community mobilisation. Retired government staff or those with experience in rural development projects are encouraged to apply.

Must possess a valid driving license and own a vehicle (Two‑wheeler).
