Job summary

Qualifications

Project coordinator

Position will see the ideal candidate managing complex projects of varying scale from ideation to completion. The candidate will rely on their ability to manage constantly changing, multidisciplinary projects and teams in order to ensure the client’s business problems are solved and goals reached.

What You Will Do

Business Analysis:

• Understanding the client business and have a broad stroke understanding (or a willingness to learn) of the business/ industry domain
• Ability to analyze business needs and translate these into detailed business/ functional specifications and use cases for designers, developers and testers
• Create the specifications and features of a product, analyze and design enhancements to the application

Project Estimation:

• Defining the project scope, deliverables, assumptions and objectives
• Working across domains to develop an integrated approach
• Developing metrics and level of effort
• Determining team structure and execution structure
• Defining a staffing plan as per the timeline expectations, budget constraints and development cycle of the project

Project Management:

• Create and own integrated project plans
• Manage daily scrums and create periodic status reports
• Organize and maintain integrated project communications
• Manage the completion of project deliverables on time and on budget
• Manage and resolve/ escalation of any project issues

Team Management:

• Manage multiple project teams of over 10 people from multiple disciplines
• Act as a motivating leader and set goals, purpose, and direction for the team
• Clearly communicate project goals and objectives to the entire team
• Foster an open, communicative, and collaborative work environment
• Constantly develop a plan for ongoing knowledge management of the project across the team members
• Work with domain leads to provide consistent feedback on team members and handle people issues

Client Management:

• Update clients on daily project developments
• Manage client communications and relationship including project expectations, negotiations, feedback and more
• Interoffice communications are key at GALE to foster a collaborative work environment

Promote/ Actively Engage in the GALE Culture:

• Assist in new hire training and proactively contribute to internal GALE initiatives
• Build upon prior knowledge and experience in the project management field and then share with the team when appropriate
• Actively participate in Global Delivery initiatives to evaluate new project management processes and platforms as well as standards across GALE

Who you are:

• You have 2 to 4 years of project management experience producing marketing and technology solutions
• You have experience leading various projects in the technology, creative and strategy realms
• Experience managing large scale enterprise technology implementations, such as CMS (Adobe AEM, SiteCore), or eCommerce (Hybris, Magento, IBM WCS, etc.) or digital transformation projects across multi-channel platforms or projects performing data transformations, engineering and visualization
• You have led 10+ person teams in a fast-paced environment, teams that incorporate multiple disciples including technology, marketing, production and creative
• You have experience in managing the entire project life cycle starting from business development followed through to completion
• Have the ability to create business solutions based on general client goals
