Role Overview

The Associate/Analyst – RWE/HEOR Specialist will play a key role in leveraging patient analytics, Real-World Evidence (RWE), and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) methods to deliver actionable insights for life sciences clients. This position involves advanced analytics on claims and clinical datasets, supporting client deliverables, and driving evidence-based strategies for optimizing patient outcomes and market access.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end RWE/HEOR analytics, including patient journey analysis, outcomes assessment, cost/utilization modelling, and real-world data reporting
• Extract, clean, and analyze data from large claims and EHR/EMR datasets (e.g., IQVIA Pharmetrics Plus, IQVIA LAAD, Optum, MarketScan, Symphony, HealthVerity, CPRD)
• Create statistical summaries, cross-tabs, and reproducible outputs using SQL and Excel
• Present analytical findings in PowerPoint/Excel; draft deliverables (emails, summaries, slides) for clients
• Collaborate closely with project teams and communicate results to global pharma stakeholders
• Independently manage assigned projects or support senior staff with minimal supervision
• Contribute to internal process/knowledge development and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, public health, health economics, biostatistics, or related field
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year hands-on experience in RWE/HEOR, pharma analytics, or healthcare data analysis
• Technical experience with large healthcare claims/clinical datasets such as IQVIA Pharmetrics Plus, IQVIA LAAD/Rx, Optum Clinformatics, Truven/MarketScan, HealthVerity, Symphony, CPRD; knowledge of open/closed claims, coding systems (ICD-9/10, CPT, NDC, HCPCS), and patient cohort construction
• Strong SQL skills (Snowflake, Redshift, DBeaver, or similar), including writing advanced queries, window functions, and data wrangling for patient-level datasets
• Advanced Excel proficiency for formula-driven summaries, pivot tables, and data modeling
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics tools is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to distill technical results for non-technical audiences
• Effective team player with the ability to work independently and manage client relationships
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• High motivation and willingness to learn new analytical tools, clinical topics, and healthcare concepts
