Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a seasoned CI Manager for our Maharashtra plant to lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. You will drive continuous improvement programs, mentor teams, and align CI strategy with business goals.

Responsibilities include deploying CI frameworks, coaching on problem solving, and delivering KPI-driven performance improvements across productivity, quality, cost, and delivery. A strong cross-functional background is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or distribution.
  • Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Cross-functional exposure to link functional decisions downstream and how multiple functions work within a value stream.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment of CI framework, Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 across the plant.
  • Develop and implement the site Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence by utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct operational assessments and identify opportunities for short-term and long-term business improvements.
  • Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives to achieve plant cost-out targets.
  • Coach, mentor, and train teams on Lean, Six Sigma, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics, conduct management reviews, and develop action plans to close performance gaps.
  • Build organizational Continuous Improvement capability through talent development, succession planning, and Lean certification programs.
  • Develop and execute the annual Continuous Improvement roadmap and calendar aligned with strategic business priorities.
  • Monitor plant performance and drive achievement of productivity, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost objectives.
  • Perform and validate Lean Six Sigma assessments and ensure timely closure of identified actions.
  • Provide regular CI performance, cost savings, and project status updates to plant leadership.
  • Support plant expansion, automation, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0 deployment projects.
  • Drive Smart Factory and Digital Manufacturing initiatives, including KPI dashboards, data analytics, and operational performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and corporate stakeholders to implement best practices and standardize improvement processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, employee engagement, and operational excellence across the organization.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for sustainability, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource optimization.

What you’ll do

Eaton announced, on June 11, 20206, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

  • Lead the deployment of the Continuous Improvement (CI) Framework, Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
  2. 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Distribution.
  3. Experience in driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, Industry 4.0
  4. Prior work experience in different functions is preferred to ensure this CI Manager sees the linkages between functions, impact of functional decisions downstream and how multiple functions work within a value stream.
  5. Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt with demonstrated success in driving productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety improvements.
