cKinetics is looking for energetic Associates who are passionate about Sustainability and strive to mainstream it in industrial settings. As part of our team, you will collaborate across various practices to deliver strategic and operational advisory on resource efficiency, climate goal actions, decarbonization, water neutrality, material circularity, and ESG reporting to Indian and global corporates.
Purpose of the Position
As an Associate, you will assess and evaluate research elements, transforming them into client deliverables that include creative presentations, techno‑commercial assessments, and data insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Sector and Industry Research: Undertake primary and secondary research and advisory projects in Resource Efficiency, Renewable Energy, and Cleaner Production.
- Integrate ESG facets and global mandates such as SBTi, EP100, RE100 into sustainability interventions for clients.
- Identify research areas, collate relevant information from reliable data sources, and identify patterns and trends to derive insights.
- Attend field or site visits to assess and gather data.
- Develop impactful written and oral presentations and reports with insights from structured and unstructured data.
- Support Senior Associates and EMs in devising cohesive solutions for engagements.
- Take delivery accountability in assigned areas to ensure timely, cost‑effective completion and client delight.
Candidate Requirements
- Desire to mainstream sustainability via clean supply chains, circularity, and resource‑efficient manufacturing processes.
- Flexible, creative mindset with curiosity and rapid understanding of client product complexities.
- Strong analytical abilities and excellent presentation skills.
- Hands‑on, multi‑tasking ability in an energetic environment.
- Capability to present findings to high‑level audiences and industry experts.
- Experience developing spreadsheet‑based models; proficiency with R is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial modelling is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Environmental Management with an undergraduate degree in Engineering.
- Relevant 2–3 years of experience in consulting or industry roles related to sustainability, resource efficiency, circular economy, sustainability target setting, carbon accounting, ESMS frameworks, etc.
- Knowledge of sustainability standards/frameworks such as GHG Protocol, GRI, Integrated Reporting, CDP, and TCFD is a plus.
