Advenxa Recruitment seeks an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead the GL Financial Accounting function within the insurance sector at Infopark, Kochi, Kerala. The role requires 15+ years in GL accounting and a minimum of 3 years in an AVP or Senior Manager position in insurance accounting.

The incumbent will manage managers, drive month-end close, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to enable operational excellence. Night shift may be required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in GL financial accounting and RTR.
• 3+ years in Senior Manager or AVP role in Insurance Accounting domain.
• Mandatory insurance-domain experience.
• IFRS 17 and local GAAP knowledge.

Responsabilités

Experience: 15+ Years of experience in GL Financial Accounting and minimum 3 years of experience as AVP in the same field as Senior Manager or AVP

Domain : Insurance – GL Financial Accounting (Mandatory)

Vertical: L&A (Life & Annuities)

Salary: Up to ₹30 LPA

Education : Graduation

Shift: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM (Night Shift)

Working Days: 5 Days a Week

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead the GL Financial Accounting function within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership experience, expertise in financial accounting, and the ability to manage managers and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the GL financial accounting operations.
• Manage and mentor managers, ensuring team performance and business targets.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing.
• Review financial reports, general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with insurance accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to resolve complex accounting issues.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee audit requirements, financial risks, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; CA/CPA/CMA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Senior Manager or AVP in Insurance Accounting Domain.
• 15+ years of experience in GL financial accounting and RTR, with mandatory insurance-domain experience.
• Proven experience in managing managers and leading financial accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17, local GAAP, and insurance accounting standards.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle and advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
