Job summary

Mithal Industries seeks an experienced International Metal Scrap Sales & Purchase professional to lead global buying, selling and trading of ferrous & non-ferrous scrap. The role requires handling international suppliers and buyers, and managing negotiations and deals on Advance Payment, TT, LC, DP and other payment terms.

The candidate will travel internationally, develop markets, and ensure profitable operations while coordinating with logistics, shipping lines and customs to finalize

Qualifications

• 715+ years of experience in international metal scrap sales and trading.
• Strong knowledge of international ferrous and non-ferrous scrap markets.
• Established network of international suppliers and buyers.
• Proven experience with Advance Payment / TT international deals.
• Understanding of LC, DP, shipping and import/export docs.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage the complete trading cycle.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced International Metal Scrap Sales & Purchase professional with strong exposure to global markets and proven experience in handling international buying, selling and trading of ferrous & non-ferrous metal scrap.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling international suppliers and buyers, commercial negotiations and deals involving Advance Payment, LC, DP and other international payment terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle international purchase and sales of ferrous & non-ferrous metal scrap.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, traders, recyclers, yard owners and buyers.
• Identify new international markets and generate new business opportunities.
• Negotiate price, quality, quantity, payment terms and commercial contracts.
• Independently handle deals on Advance Payment / TT, LC, DP and other international payment terms.
• Take responsibility for deals from enquiry negotiation contract payment shipment delivery final settlement.
• Handle international scrap categories such as HMS, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Lead, Battery Scrap, Cast Iron, Shredded Scrap, Turning Scrap, etc.
• Monitor international scrap prices, market trends and availability to make profitable buying and selling decisions.
• Ensure proper due diligence and commercial coordination with international parties before executing advance-payment transactions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, shipping lines, inspection agencies, customs and clearing agents for smooth execution of shipments.
• Handle and resolve quality, weight shortage, impurity, shipment and commercial claims.
• Achieve monthly international purchase, sales, volume and profitability targets.
• Maintain complete records of contracts, shipments, payments, claims and receivables/payables.
• Travel internationally for supplier/buyer meetings, negotiations, contract finalization and business development.

Candidate Requirements

• 715+ years of experience in International Metal Scrap Sales & Purchase / Trading.
• Strong knowledge of international ferrous & non-ferrous scrap markets.
• Established network of international suppliers and buyers will be highly preferred.
• Proven experience in Advance Payment / TT-based international deals.
• Strong understanding of LC, DP, shipping, import/export documentation and international trade processes.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage the complete international trading cycle.
• Strong business development and target-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Preferred Candidate

A person who can independently generate international purchase sources as well as international sales buyers, negotiate profitable deals and confidently handle transactions involving advance payment/TT and other international payment terms.
