Job summary

Egis is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Pre-Contract) to join our Bangalore team for MESA project support. The role covers full measurement activities, cost planning, BOQ preparation, tender documentation, and value engineering to ensure competitive, compliant bids within the GCC.

The successful candidate will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and support cost estimates and tender submissions in line with POMI, NRM, and CESMM standards. UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years' pre-contract quantity surveying experience (GCC/UAE preferred).
• Proficiency with measurement and cost management software (CostX).
• Familiarity with measurement standards such as POMI, NRM, and CESMM.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing design drawings, specifications, and scope documents for buildings and infrastructure works.
• Detailed quantity take-offs at concept, schematic, and detailed/tender design stages.
• Assist in preparing BOQs in accordance with POMI, NRM, and CESMM standards.
• Support preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, cost schedules, and rate build-ups.
• Obtain and compile quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct market rate research for materials, labour, and subcontract packages within the UAE.
• Assist in value engineering exercises and cost comparison studies.
• Maintain cost databases and assist in updating benchmarks.
• Provide general commercial and administrative support to the pre-contract team.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Pre-Contract) to join our team in the Bangalore team, MESA project support. The role involves full measurement activities supporting cost planning, estimating, and managing measurement, and commercial analysis for GCC buildings and infrastructure scope - pre-contract stage. The successful candidate will be supporting for accurate Cost Planning, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documentation, value engineering support, and commercial input to ensure competitive and compliant bids within the GCC.
