Job summary

Del Pd Pumps & Gears as Ingersoll Rand Inc. located in Surendranagar, India, is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain quality standards ensuring compliance with customer, safety, and regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on data analysis, root-cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement to reduce waste and enhance process efficiency. 6 Days working, onsite position with growth opportunities in QA leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of quality testing experience in Pumps or Valves preferred.
• Strong understanding of pump applications and industrial processes.

Responsibilities

• Quality Planning & Compliance: Assist in developing quality program plans, defining status indicators, and implementing ISO standards.
• Inspection & Testing: Establish inspection plans (incoming, in-process, final), define acceptance criteria, and conduct product evaluations.
• Continuous Improvement: Use Six-Sigma, SPC, and FMEA to improve processes and reduce defects.
• Corrective Action (CAPA): Investigate, identify, and resolve quality problems, including 8D reports for customer complaints.
• Audit & Documentation: Conduct internal and supplier audits, maintain documentation for quality control (control plans, inspection reports).
• Supplier Management: Monitor supplier KPIs and supplier quality.

Job Summary

A Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and systems to ensure products or services meet customer, safety, and regulatory requirements. They analyze data, conduct inspections, perform root cause analysis for defects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.

• Strong technical understanding of pump applications & industrial processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.

Desired Skills & Attributes

• Strong network within key industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, chemicals, and food and beverage.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to offer technical solutions to complex challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP will be a plus.
