IIT Kanpur invites applications for the post of Assistant Project Manager (04) on a purely temporary and contractual basis for one year, with potential extension based on requirement. Consolidated salary range is Rs. 16,000–38,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

Age limit is 32, with 50-year relaxation for project staff. Last date: 20 Nov 2026. Minimum qualification is a postgraduate degree or a graduate degree with 3 years of relevant experience.

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for the office of the Dean of Research and Development, IIT Kanpur on purely temporary and contractual basis for a period of one year. The period may be extended based on requirement.

Post: Assistant Project Manager (04)

Consolidated Salary Structure: In the range Rs. 16000-1300-38000/- p.m. (based on qualification and experience)

Minimum Qualification: Post graduate degree OR Graduate degree + 03 years of relevant experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is also required.

Desirable Experience

• Proficiency in MS Office and document management
• Demonstrated ability in coordination, report writing, and independent handling of administrative responsibilities.
• Candidates having experience in PFMS, Finance & Accounts, Purchase & Project Management will be given preference.

Age limit

Maximum 32 years.

The age relaxation is 50 years for employees working in projects and work assignment of IIT Kanpur
