Job summary

JLL in Mumbai, MH seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in mixed-use, hotel, retail or commercial projects. On-site role overseeing installation, commissioning and maintenance of HVAC and related systems on project sites.

The candidate will lead site teams, coordinate with civil and electrical teams, ensure compliance with ASHRAE/NBC/OSHA safety standards, and review drawings using AutoCAD, Navisworks or Revit MEP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in mixed-use projects, hotels, retail or commercial developments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical components at project sites.
• Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of construction plant equipment and HVAC/pumping systems.
• Diagnose critical mechanical faults on-site to reduce downtime.
• Mentor junior site engineers and coordinate with civil/electrical teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety norms (ASHRAE/NBC/OSHA) and sign off on service logs.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Site Execution: Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical components at project sites.
• System Maintenance: Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of construction plant equipment, hoists, or installed HVAC/pumping systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose critical mechanical faults on-site to reduce operational downtime.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior site engineers and coordinate with civil or electrical teams.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to safety norms (ASHRAE, NBC, or OSHA standards) and sign off on service/inspection logs.

Core Skills Needed

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of hydraulics, rotating equipment, or HVAC design.
• Software Literacy: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or Revit MEP for drawing reviews.
• Management: Strong vendor coordination, spare parts management, and client communication.
