Job Description

Teaching & Academic Excellence

Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, practical sessions and other academic activities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Develop course materials, lesson plans, teaching resources and innovative pedagogical methodologies.

Implement Outcome-Based Education (OBE), curriculum delivery and effective assessment strategies.

Contribute to curriculum design, syllabus revision and development of emerging interdisciplinary courses.

Integrate experiential learning, project-based learning, research-oriented teaching and industry-integrated learning practices.

Incorporate emerging technologies and contemporary developments into academic delivery.

B. Laboratory & Practical Education

Design, develop and conduct laboratory-based learning activities and experiments.

Develop laboratory protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and practical manuals.

Ensure laboratory safety, equipment maintenance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Facilitate hands-on training in advanced Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Science and analytical techniques.

Promote skill-based learning through instrumentation, molecular techniques, food analysis and experimental research.

Establish industry-relevant practical training and laboratory-based competency development.

Establish and actively participate in independent and collaborative research programmes.

Publish quality research articles in reputed Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals.

Develop research proposals and secure funded projects from national and international funding agencies.

Guide undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral research scholars, as applicable.

Promote patents, technology development, prototypes, product innovation and entrepreneurship.

Establish interdisciplinary research collaborations and industry-supported research initiatives.

Develop innovative products, processes and technologies with commercial and societal relevance.

D. Academic Administration & Institutional Development

Participate in academic planning, departmental development and institutional initiatives.

Contribute to accreditation, ranking, quality assurance and academic audit activities.

Organise and coordinate conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs and scientific events.

Develop academic collaborations, MoUs and industry partnerships.

Contribute to academic committees, examination activities and institutional responsibilities.

Support continuous improvement in teaching, research and institutional performance.

Participate in institutional research, innovation, entrepreneurship and outreach initiatives.

Mentor students in academic progression, research activities and professional development.

Facilitate internships, industrial visits, placements and higher education opportunities.

Encourage participation in hackathons, innovation challenges and scientific competitions.

Promote student publications, research projects, experiential learning and entrepreneurship.
