Job summary

IndiaMART is seeking an AI-focused product professional to collaborate with business customers and development teams to convert needs into clear requirements and actionable plans. You will lead AI-enabled projects, ensure trade-offs are managed, and deliver reliable, user-centric solutions.

You will drive user workflows, run UX and clarification sessions, and coordinate across departments to hit objectives in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Comfort with AI tools and prompts used in product development.
• Experience building AI-driven workflows or agents (e.g., RAG chatbot).
• Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, context windows, and latency concepts.

Key Responsibilities

You will work with the development team to make sure requirements are clear and rational, make trade-offs where needed, and deliver a finished product that meets its goals on schedule.

Core product work

• Define and scope projects. Work closely with business customers to understand their needs and priorities, combine that with internal data and competitive information, and turn it all into clear, prioritised requirements.
• Identify and prioritise what to build, with a real understanding of trade-offs and impact. Knowing what not to build matters as much as knowing what to build.
• Deliver projects that meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, usability and customer delight.
• Proactively spot and resolve strategic issues and risks that could stop the team from hitting its goals before they become fires.
• Drive the user workflow. Run user experience, review and clarification sessions with the software and QA engineering teams, so you get maximum customer value out of the time and resources you actually have.
• Build consensus. This is a fast-moving environment. You will need strong cross-functional coordination and the ability to align different verticals and departments to hit business objectives on time.

What we expect on AI (hands-on, not theory)

You should already be comfortable with both of these:

1. Using AI well

• ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini are part of your daily work, not a novelty.
• You can write structured prompts and know when to use system prompts, few-shot examples, and step-by-step reasoning.
• You can tell a good AI output from a confident wrong one, and you know how to test for it.

2. Building with AI

• You have built something real an agent, a RAG chatbot over your own documents, or an automated workflow.
• Comfortable with tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, Dify, LangFlow, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, or similar.
• You understand the basics: embeddings, vector search, context windows, hallucination, token cost, and latency.
• You do not need to write production code. But you must be able to read pseudo-code, follow an algorithm, and run simple queries without panicking.
