Assistant Manager - Accounts and Taxation

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Accounts & Taxation to oversee our financial accounting operations and ensure strict compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, finalizing books of accounts, and managing timely tax filings. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and up-to-date knowledge of statutory tax laws to support our management in strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Finalization: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
• Tax Compliance & Filing: Manage end-to-end compliance for direct and indirect taxes (including GST, TDS, and Income Tax). Prepare, review, and file periodic tax returns accurately.
• Statutory Audits: Coordinate and facilitate internal, statutory, and tax audits by preparing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Reconciliations: Ensure regular and meticulous reconciliation of bank statements, vendor ledgers, inter-company accounts, and tax credit statements (such as GSTR-2B, Form 26AS).
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial MIS reports, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports for senior management review.
• Team Supervision: Guide and supervise junior accountants, monitoring daily data entry, invoice processing, and voucher verifications.
