Job summary

Esyasoft in Kolkata, India, is seeking a hands‑on QA/Test Engineer for smart metering hardware and firmware validation. You will design validation plans and run functional, metrology, and environmental tests, while reproducing field issues in the lab for root-cause analysis.

You will develop automated test setups using Python or LabVIEW, generate formal reports, and ensure traceability from requirements to test outcomes. Collaboration with R&D and production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the smart metering industry.
• Deep, structural understanding of single-phase and three-phase static smart meters.
• Proficiency with testing tools: phantom loads, reference standard meters, environmental chambers, surge simulators, spectrum analyzers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to trace firmware anomalies or hardware drift.
• Proven ability to collaborate across R&D, firmware design, and production engineering teams.
• Excellent technical report writing and clear communication of bugs to development engineering.
