Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a seasoned tests professional to validate BMS, EV chargers, and IoT devices in a fast-paced EV environment.

You will design and execute test plans, analyze data, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, quality, and production teams to ensure reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years hands-on testing and validation experience in BMS, EV chargers, IoT devices, or embedded electronics.
• Strong electronics, electrical systems, embedded hardware, and firmware interaction knowledge.
• Proficient with lab test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and loads.
• Familiar with CAN, UART, RS485, I2C; CAN tools experience preferred.
• Experience in functional testing, system integration, fault diagnosis, and RCA.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, performance, reliability, and system testing under defined conditions.
• Validate BMS functions: monitoring, protection, and communications interfaces.
• Test EV chargers for performance, safety, fault handling, and system communications.
• Validate IoT/VIM functionalities: data acquisition, connectivity, protocols, data transfer.
• Conduct hardware and firmware integration testing with test equipment and data acquisition.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document product failures; perform structured root cause analysis.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, validation reports, logs, and technical docs.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, quality, and production teams to resolve defects.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, coverage, automation, and reliability.

ROLE

• Perform functional, performance, reliability, and system‑level testing under defined operating conditions.
• Validate BMS functionalities, including battery parameter monitoring, protection mechanisms, and communication interfaces.
• Test EV chargers for charging performance, electrical safety, fault handling, and communication with connected systems.
• Validate IoT/VIM functionalities, including vehicle data acquisition, connectivity, communication protocols, and data transmission.
• Conduct hardware and firmware integration testing using appropriate test equipment, diagnostic tools, and data acquisition systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document product failures; perform structured root cause analysis and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, validation reports, test logs, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, quality, and production teams to resolve defects and improve product performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, test coverage, automation, and product reliability.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in testing and validation of BMS, EV chargers, IoT devices, or embedded electronic products.
• Strong understanding of electronics, electrical systems, embedded hardware, and firmware interactions.
• Practical experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and other laboratory test equipment.
• Understanding of communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS485, and I2C; experience with CAN tools preferred.
• Experience in functional testing, system integration, fault diagnosis, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to develop DVPs, execute test cases, analyze test data, and prepare technical reports.
• Familiarity with EV systems, battery technologies, charging systems, or automotive electronics.
• Good analytical, documentation, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Demonstrated ownership of validation quality and closure of identified defects.
• Analytical thinking with structured troubleshooting and data‑driven RCA.
• Attention to detail ensuring thorough test coverage and reliable documentation.
• Effective collaboration with hardware, firmware, software, and product teams.
• Adaptability to work across multiple product lines in a fast‑paced EV environment.
